Our price for 2024 is  £1500  for a long weekend, Thursday to Monday. ( This is to allow  for set up  of tents/marquees, loos etc on Thursday and Friday , then your event on Saturday with camping then take down and clearing of the Field on Sunday and Monday.  Plus a £500 deposit to confirm your date. This will be returned to you  2 weeks after your event, as long as all terms and conditions have been met.

How did  Field with a View Winchester come about?

In the summer of 2016, my husband Dave and I had our wedding reception in our  2.5 acre hay field, overlooking the lovely city of Winchester  and the stunning South Downs National Park.

​

We decided on a low budget, DIY affair, with tents and marquees borrowed from friends and family. We supplied kegs of beer and cider and filled a couple of baths  with ice for the wine and soft drinks. On our invites, we asked our guests to bring their favourite pudding and a bottle to add to the drinks' supply. We put out games for everyone to enjoy... table tennis, swingball, outdoor jenga and skittles.

As were married at the Registry Office on the Monday-  The  Summer Solstice- but on the following Saturday  we held  a Celebration Party, not the actual wedding, so our amazing local band who we hired in for the evening, charged us for a 'party' not a 'wedding' , which would have cost a lot more!

It was perfect! We had such an amazing time and so many people commented on what a fab place it was for the celebration.

Field with a View Winchester is an Events field, not a family campsite . If you wish to have family camping then we highly recommend Holden Farm Campsite which is also in the South Downs National Park just a few miles away on the  A272 .
